Autumn 2018 Patricia traveled on her own through the autumn coloured landscapes of Sweden and Norway. From hut to hut. Taking only a violin, a microphone, a laptop and a good pair of shoes with her, she sought out the most remote places she could find. Where her eyes would only meet those of animals or human-shaped clouds. Nature has always had this strange power over her that makes her forget who or what she represents in everyday life. It is in these moments of seclusion that essence gets the space it needs to reveal itself. Intuitively, with music being the language that can capture what cannot be put into words. Sohnarr is her way to communicate the inexpressible. Besides a lot of snapshots and devoured novels, Coral Dusk is what she brought back home with her. A debut album that narrates the thin lines of her two month journey through these astonishing landscapes and solitude. Every note was composed and recorded in the middle of nature.
Coral Dusk was released May 2020.
Back in the civilized world, Patricia seized the opportunity to give her music an additional meaning. Out of a deep conviction that human interaction is permeated by inspiring and being inspired, Patricia invited various visual artists to use her music as a starting point for new work. In addition she offered a new musical life to every song from the record thanks to the hands and minds of 8 diverse artists. Each of them were asked to use one song from Coral Dusk as a source of inspiration for a personal reworking. No rules, no formats, but full carte blanche.
Coral Dusk Reworked will be out March 4 2022.
